The annual Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday, May 25th, 2026 at 1 p.m. Co-hosted by the Town of Old Orchard Beach and the American Legion. The parade begins at 1:00pm at the corner of Ballpark Way and E. Emerson Cummings Blvd, proceeds down Saco Ave., Old Orchard St., to First St. and ends at Veteran's Memorial Park. 40th Annual Competition on the beach! This year’s theme: Sea Creatures. A flier with information and rules will be available at the Ocean Park Office after Memorial Day or at the site on the day of the competition. You must register in order to compete. Sand Sculpture Competition Randall to Ancona Ave. Beaches. Judging begins at 5:30 pm. Winners are announced at 6:00 pm on the beach.

The Ocean Park 5K is a flat race, winding through towering pines, along the beach roads, passing those familiar cottages and cheering fans, with a straight shot back down Mass Ave and Randall before finishing in the town square. Post-Race Events will be held at the Bandstand in the OP Square. There will be non-monetary prizes for the age bracket finishers as well. As in past years there will be cash prizes for those elites who can break the course records. Pre-registration fee of $35: in person at the OPA Office, via mail, or online at www.runreg.com; (preregistration closes Wednesday, July 22nd at 3:00 PM). Day of race walk-in registration is $40. Kids Fun Run registration: $5 without t-shirt or $20 with t-shirt (1st come 1st served). We will be using the Temple again this year as the event hub. This will be open Thursday July 23rd from 5:00 – 6:30 PM for those pre-registered runners wanting to get their race bibs/T shirts early or those wanting to sign up for the Kids Fun Run. Race Day Registration and DOE Pre-Registered check-in is July 24th from 4:00 – 6:30 PM at The Temple. Checks must be payable to the Ocean Park Association, no credit cards on final day. Credit card sales can prior to July 24th at the OPA office. All proceeds from the event support the OPA.

Camp Ellis HarborFest is a locally grown community festival celebrating our active working waterfront and the rebuilding effort to bring the beach back to Camp Ellis, all while having family fun and great food! The Breakaway 5K and Marilyn & Nat Golzbein Memorial Fun Run are the principal fundraisers supporting scholarships for Old Orchard Beach High School graduates. The scholarships are awarded by the MAPS Scholarship Foundation, a group of retired educators and former students from OOB who aspire to support the continuing education of OOB High School graduates. 100% of the proceeds directly benefit the MAPS Foundation.
