The City Theater in Biddeford, Maine is a fully restored 1890s opera house offering theater, music, dance and more to the surrounding southern Maine communities. It is also a performing arts venue and welcomes inquiries for musical performances. Built in 1860, this community theater is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Our mission is to provide the city of Biddeford with an effective, efficient and economical fire prevention, suppression and medical rescue service.

At one time, the textile mills in Biddeford, Maine were considered the heart of the York County region. Poised on the banks of the Saco River, the extensive mill district hummed with activity, weaving together the lives and livelihoods of numerous individuals. The McArthur Public Library's mission is to connect the Biddeford community with materials, programs, services and informational and cultural resources needed to lead fuller, better and richer lives. The McArthur Public Library is one of New England's oldest tax-supported public libraries.

The museum is home to the Old Orchard Beach Historical Society and features historical memorabilia from the Old Orchard Beach area collected since the 17th century. .

The Fire Department consists of nine full-time fire fighters, who are members of the Local 2247 I.A.F.F.  We work a 56 hour week and each shift is made up of 4 Fire/Rescue personnel, which consists of three full-time fire fighters, one being a paramedic and a part-time EMT who works a 12 or 24 hour shift. We are supplemented, in fire fighting, by a force of more than 30 on-call fire fighters.

The Old Orchard Beach Police Department, in partnership with the community, will work together to ensure that all laws are fairly and equitably enforced, treat all of the town's inhabitants with courtesy and respect, and strive together to create a safe place to live for our residents and guests.

The Scarborough Fire Department provides fire protection, advanced life support, emergency medical services and search and rescue services to the residents and visitors of Scarborough and the ocean waters along our coastline. Deep in tradition, the department started as a volunteer organization in 1914, and has grown to a combination full-time, call, and per-diem department.

The Scarborough Historical Society and Museum provides a variety of services to the community. Their collection of historical artifacts are often utilized by members of the community and students working on history projects. The Scarborough Historical Society has an extensive collection of antique farming equipment as well as genealogical records for the area.

The Scarborough Police Department, in partnership with our community, pledge to enhance the quality of life in the Town of Scarborough by ensuring; the protection of life and property, the preservation of peace, the protection of individual rights, and the reduction of crime. We will accomplish this mission by providing the highest degree of ethical and professional police services while maintaining the trust, understanding and confidence of the citizens of Scarborough Maine.

For over one hundred years, the Scarborough Public Library has served as the common ground and heart of the community. Today, the 12,000 square foot library is not only limited to books and reference materials, but also provides high-speed Internet access on 12 computers, has audio-visual reference material and provides greater access to information using online library databases. Borrowing privileges are free to Scarborough citizens, students and employees.

 The Anchor Baptist Church is an independent, fundamental Baptist Church where the Bible is believed and preached.

The New Life Christian Fellowship strives to be a worshiping community that lives by God's Word and impacts the world by fulfilling God's mission.

The Second Congregational Church has been a part of the Biddeford community for over 150 years. The members of the congregation strive to serve God by helping others and have partnered with a program called Bon Appetit which helps to feed the homeless and less fortunate.

This parish originated 1870, when it was formed to provide a spiritual home for the French-Canadian migrants to the area.  St. Joseph's ministers to over 1,800 families in the Biddeford area. The exterior of the church was recently restored thanks to the planning and generosity of the community. The interior will also be renovated to become a spiritual home for our parishioners.

Congregation Beth Israel in Old Orchard Beach is one of the oldest synagogues in Maine. It has a rich history of serving the Jewish community and is full of song and prayer. Now it still has a small but vibrant community that continues this rich tradition and is happy to share it.

St. Luke's is a Catholic chapel that is open seasonally to serve those enjoying the warm summer weather at Old Orchard Beach. From June to September

The Temple services have also been known throughout the years for their outstanding music program, featuring the fifty voice Temple Choir with Jerry Scheinfeld as director and organist. In addition, the Temple Junior Choir , the Temple Bell Choir, and the Temple Brass Ensemble enhance the services.

United Methodist is a family church located in one of the best known resort communities along the Maine coast and has a long history of involvement in our community.

The Bible Baptist Church seeks to spread and share the God's Word with all people.

The Cornerstone United Methodist Church has Sunday morning worship services.

You are invited to join in worship each Sunday. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. Special services are also held throughout the year.

At Seacoast Chapel, an Assemblies of God organization, every member of the community is valued. Expect to hear the truths of the Bible presented in a way that is easy to understand and fun for the whole family.

St. Demetrios is a Greek Orthodox Church that was established in 1909. Each year the church hosts a Greek heritage festival for the community to enjoy.
